BLD Plantation Bhd (BLDP) is engaged in investment holding and provision of management services. The Company, through its subsidiaries, is engaged in the operation of a palm oil refinery and kernel crushing plant, cultivation of oil palm, processing of fresh fruit bunches and sales of related products. The Company has three segments: milling and plantation, which include oil palm plantation and palm oil milling; refinery and kernel crushing plant, and others, which include letting of property and investment holding activities. As of December 31, 2010, the Company had total planted area of about 24,580 hectares. During the year ended December 31, 2010, the Company produced about 322,700 metric tons of fresh fruit bunches (FFB). The Company’s subsidiaries include Bintulu Lumber Development Sdn. Bhd. and Kirana Palm Oil Refinery Sdn. Bhd . As of December 31, 2010, BLD held 99.9% of Niamas Istimewa Sdn. Bhd. (NISB).
