Tradewinds Plantation Berhad is a Malaysia-based company engaged in investment holding and provision of management services to the subsidiaries. The Company operates in three segments: plantation, property development and investment holding. Plantation includes cultivation of oil palm and rubber trees, processing of palm oil and provision of plantation management and advisory services. Property development includes development of residential and commercial properties. Investment holding include group-level corporate services, treasury functions and investing activities. As of December 31, 2010, the Company had a landbank of 141,465 hectares. As of December 31, 2010, the Company’s total remaining plantable reserves stood at 24,491 hectares. On June 9, 2010, the Company’s wholly owned subsidiary, Johore Tenggara Oil Palm Berhad (JTOP), acquired the remaining 60% equity interest in Hak JTOP Sdn. Bhd. (Hak JTOP).
